Mission statement
"Respect. Integrity. Positivity."
Our mission is to support our athletic programs and activities at every opportunity. Glencoe cheerleaders support football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, wrestling and more. Glencoe Cheerleading proudly represents the community by competing at local competitions, including State Championships and OCCA Championships.
At Glencoe Cheer coaches strive to build strong, confident, and respectful athletes. We strive to create opportunities for ALL student athletes at Glencoe, wether your child is new to cheerleading and looking to gain friends and learn a new sport.. Or if your athlete is a returning cheerleader looking to compete at an elite level or prepare to cheer in college..
Glencoe Cheer is a place for them!
All new and returning athletes should be prepared to learn new skills, work hard, build character and teamwork. Our program is COMPETITIVE. Parents and athletes should be prepared to treat their cheerleader as any other sport / athlete would expect.

Coaches
Glencoe coaching staff members prioritize building strong and safe athletes. Cheerleading is a naturally dangerous sport - coaches recognize that. All GHS cheer staff are required to attend the OCCA coaches conference to receive the most up-to-date training techniques in jumping, stunting and tumbling. Coaches believe in progressions and skill building through drills to properly train techniques. All GHS coaching staff (levels K-12) are required to have all OSAA safety certifications;, NFHS safety certifications, background checks, and CPR/first aid certifications.
